Wine Tasting and Class: All Piedmontese

After a 3-month summer break, Ambrosia’s Wine Tasting and Sale is back with exciting tastings planned for the rest of the year, beginning with an “All Piedmontese” event on September 13, 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Christie Brassard, an Italian wine specialist from Young's Market NW, has selected six wines from her portfolio for this event that are all from Piedmont one of the most famous wine regions of Italy, including:

- Olim Bauda Gavi Di Gavi 2014
- Cigliuti Langhe Nebbiolo 2014
- Cortese Barbaresco Rabaja 2011
- Prunotto Barolo 2008

Piemonte wine is the range of Italian wines made in the region of Piedmont in the northwestern corner of Italy. The best-known wines from the region include Barolo and Barbaresco made from the Nebbiolo grape. You'll learn about the nuances of this spectacular region and why it consistently produces some of the best wines in the world.

The event includes a taste of all six wines and three small plates to complement the wines prepared by Ambrosia';s inimitable kitchen staff. The cost is $30 pp. Space is limited to 24 people. Make your prepaid reservations by calling Ambrosia at 541-342-4141. You’ll receive a 10% discount when you purchase 12 bottles or more at the event.

As you return to your fall schedule, we hope you will include Ambrosia’s Wine Tastings. After all, good food, good wine, good friends; what else is there?
