Wine Tasting and Sale: The Wines of Veneto

Learn about seven wines from the historic Italian wine region of Veneto!

Ambrosia's next Wine Tasting and Class on Tuesday, October 6 from 5:30pm-7:00pm will feature wines from Veneto, a northeastern Italian region bordering the Dolomite mountains and the Adriatic Sea. Although smaller than some of the better known wine regions, Veneto is the top producing wine region in all of Italy. The territory around Verona (where three of Shakespeare's plays are set) is some of the most historically significant of Italy and produces famous wines such as ValpolicellaAmarone, and Soave, all of which will be served at this event.

Angela Scott from LUX imports will feature seven wines from her portfolio, including Pieropan and Allegrini, two of the most highly regarded, classic wineries of Veneto. Here are a few highlights of the wines you will taste and learn about:

  • Pieropan Soave Classico DOC, Veneto 2014
  • Allegrini Valpolicella DOC, Veneto 2013
  • Allegrini Palazzo della Torre IGT Veronese 2010
  • Allegrini La Grola IGT Veronese 2010
  • Allegrini Amarone Classico DOC, 2010

Reserve your Space!

A taste of all seven wines and small plate appetizers to complement the wines is $30 per person. Receive a 10% discount on the purchase of 12 or more bottles the day of the event. Seating is limited to 24 guests; make your pre-paid reservations today by calling Ambrosia at 541-342-4141
