In November we’re headed to Piedmont Italy — Piedmont literally means, “foot of the mountains” and is home to the king of wines, Barolo.

Take your pick of Tuesday, November 17 or Wednesday, November 18 at 5:30pm for our Piedmont Wine Dinner. Our host is Todd Bacon, who specializes in Italian wines and travels to Italy frequently to buy wines for his company, Young's Market. We asked Todd why are the wines of the Piedmont so great and sought after and here's what he had to say:

"First and foremost, the Nebbiolo grape strikes with ethereal magic just like the great Pinot Noir of Burgundy. The wines of Piedmont are more sensory and delicate in their attack and come across with grace and elegance without hitting the drinker over the head. In addition, they have developed over the last hundred or so years along with Piedmont cuisine, which in my opinion is some of the most glorious combinations of Italian and French cooking put together."

The five-course menu is a collaborative effort between Ambrosia's Chef Ryan Blaze and Guest Chef (and Ambrosia alum) Erik Farr. It highlights the cuisine of Piedmont with seasonal ingredients. Each course is created to compliment the qualities of each of the wines.

A taste of all six wines, accompanied by a five-course dinner costs $75 per person plus gratuity. Purchase 12 bottles or more at the dinner and receive a 10% discount. It's a great time to stock up for holiday gatherings or gifts. We'll also have a few additional pantry items for sale. Make your pre-paid reservation for November 17 or 18 by calling Ambrosia today at 541-342-4141 or purchase your tickets on our website. We'd love to see you!

Please note: We are following all CDC and social distancing guidelines. The number of guests will be limited to 28 people who will be seated at separate tables in parties of two and four.
